Seminary Talk by Rene Winchenbach 9. Sept. 2016 H-F 114
Please be advised that Rene Winchenbach from the University of Siegen will hold a seminary talk on 9. Sept. at 14:15 in room H-F 114.
The title of the talk is: "Adaptive Resolution in Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics".
Abstract:
In recent years the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method has grown significantly in popularity and capabilities for simulating incompressible fluids. One area of research that is growing more important, in order to allow for more precise simulations, is spatial and temporal adaptivity which aim to dedicate computational resources to interesting areas to speed up the method. This presentation aims to give a short overview over the SPH method and the recent research developments and basics of spatial and temporal adaptivity to give an overview of the research area.
Anyone interested is more than welcome to attend.
